Jean Mancini Gough is an avid performer of both classical, sacred, and jazz genres, and a private voice instructor. Holding Bachelor and Masters degrees in Vocal Performance/Music Education along with years of study in voice and vocal pedagogy, she is adept in performing and teaching multiple styles. As a classically trained soprano with many years of performance experience, Jean is a knowledgeable and sensitive performer. An avid recitalist, Jean has presented concerts in the New England area, Philadelphia and New York City. She is founder of the women’s a cappella group, Nothing But Treble, and also served many years as soloist and section lead for the First Unitarian Church, Worcester, MA. While there, Jean performed a vast range of genres from sacred, classical, gospel and new age, to folk and jazz and is featured on numerous CDs. |

american songbook / jazzIn the American Songbook & Jazz world, Jean has studied with veteran singers Sheila Jordan, Jay Clayton, and at Berklee College of Music and the Vermont Jazz Center. Jean regularly appears at venues in the New England area with some of the best jazz musicians from Central MA to Boston.
